HMDS is part of the Department of Clinical Haematology, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. The Department of Haematology is a constituent of the Directorate of Oncology and Physics within the St James’s Institute of Oncology.
The St James’s Institute of Oncology is a comprehensive cancer centre providing a full range of cancer services, including: surgical oncology; haematology; medical oncology radiation oncology; palliative care and a full range of diagnostic and clinical support services. The institute is housed in a purpose built facility which also includes the regional cancer registry, several research units and conference facilities.
